Julia & Chris chose the amazing Tutbury Castle for their recent wedding ….. First up, Chris and the lads then ready for Julia’s arrival.  Wow, stunning red dress  Julia & Chris were married by Civil Ceremony which was then followed by a Handfasting ceremony, a first for us and really cool, made even more special by being carried out within the Castle ruins  A dry but cold day saw us whip through a full group shot and family formal photographs, then everyone inside to huddle round the open fire !!  Now being a contemporary wedding photographer with Castle ruins available and Julia looking stunning in her red dress, it was time to take Julia and Chris up the climb to the top, but oh wow was it worth it  After a few more photos round the lower areas of the Castle the next time we caught up with Julia & chris was at their evening reception in Derby, for some video light photos and ending the day with first dance ….. After visiting Gemma and the girls for Bridal prep photos, it was off to All Saint’s Church at Mickleover, Derby for the wedding ceremony ….. Yet another gorgeous day weather wise  Next stop, one of my favourite wedding venues – Breadsall Priory.  Leaving Gemma & Mat to enjoy time spent with their guests gave us the opportunity for loads of natural photos of everyone enjoying themselves …. I really should blog more of these !!  A few photos of Gemma and Mat, catching the gorgeous afternoon sun led us up to the wedding breakfast.  Now as you probably gather, I love the evening Bride & Groom session.  Out came the video light and Gemma & Mat were brilliant  First dance finished off what had been yet another fantastic Breadsall Priory wedding.  A massive thank you to Katie and the Breadsall staff, and to Alison Bailey for second shooting the wedding with me …….

The whole day ran smooth, Bridal prep photos, a lovely wedding ceremony and most of the afternoon spent outside As wedding photographers at the Priest House, another part of the day I was also looking forward to was the evening off camera flash and video light Bride and Groom session …. We shot some cracking wedding photos And Laura, you definitely had ‘The Look’ I was looking for in the photographs Ok Adrian you were pretty cool too Bud !! …… First dance finished off what had been a really enjoyable day, see you both soon ……

Flying with blogging this year …  Next up, Kirsty & Paul’s stunning Dunstall Hall wedding.  After photographing Kirsty and the girl’s Bridal prep at a gorgeous cottage in Dunstall Hall’s grounds it was a short walk down the road to St Mary’s, Dunstall Church.  During the wedding ceremony Kirsty was stung by a wasp but put on a really brave face, bless her !  Now a married couple Kirsty & Paul were off up the road for a drive in the car as we all took the short walk back to the Hall for the wedding reception, and yep lucky with the weather again we all spent the afternoon outside  Back in the evening for some cracking low sun with that gorgeous golden glow and video light photos lead us nicely into first dance …. Here’s a few very early photos from Sev & Turgut’s recent Cypriot wedding.  A two day affair, with the wedding ceremony being held on the Saturday then the massive celebrations on the Sunday at Birmingham’s The Tower Ballroom …. Oh boy, did we have a great time with you Guys  As a wedding photographer photographing all the various events during the two days was pretty cool ….  Full blog post coming soon once I have all the processing completed ……

Next up, our most recent wedding – Laura & James.  After a home visit for Laura’s Bridal prep it was off to St George & St Mary’s Church for the wedding ceremony.  Wow, what an arrival – with two Limo’s for the lads and Bridal party, a double decker red bus for guests and a Rolls Royce for Laura ….  A lovely ceremony (with photos allowed ), was followed by confetti and a quick getaway seeing us arrive at the wedding venue, The Waterfront at Barton Marina with plenty of time for some cool shots of Laura & James with the car, the lads and girls with the stunning blue sky reflecting off the water, a few formals and the hog roast being prepared, the smell of the hog roast was mouth watering  Early evening saw us taking some stunning contemporary photographs with off camera flash with Laura & James, leading us nicely into first dance ….. A few early photos for you below Guys …..

Our next Easter weddings were back to back at the gorgeous Sandon Hall, Staffordshire.  First up Jennifer and Oliver ….. First surprise of the day was Jennifer’s gorgeous dress, and then OMG the shoes After Bridal prep we were off to St Nicholas Church, Fulford ….. On arriving it was yet another Wow !!  Oliver and his buddies in Army Uniform Controlling emma here was a problem … LOL. A cracking wedding ceremony was followed by a guard of honour, swords n all !!  After a couple of Bride & Groom photos and confetti it was off to Sandon Hall for the wedding reception, no rain  Another relaxed afternoon, some really funny speeches, then on to the evening video light session with Jennifer & Oliver and man – were these pair super cool !!  I love the pillars at the front of Sandon Hall for these photographs.  First dance finished what had been a fantastic day for us …. Favourites below, and check out those shoes …. !!

Wow, one of the busiest wedding fayres we have displayed at for  long time  Superbly ran and presented by Katie and the Breadsall Priory team.  It was excellent to meet so many couples getting married, and apologies if we were struggling to have a proper chat with you due to the number of people visiting our stand !  A massive thank you to Louise & John, Kayleigh & Luke, Kerry & Alex and Caroline & Paul for booking us to photograph your upcoming weddings …… And for those making appointments to visit us at home, we look forward to seeing you again.

After getting away with it all year we finally lost our battle with the UK weather  The bonus was, Zoe & Martin still kept smiling all day despite the rain  A home visit for Zoe’s bridal prep was followed by the wedding ceremony held at St Martin’s Church, Alfreton.  At least we didn’t have the heavy wet stuff for this part of the day!  After the ceremony it was off to Morley Hayes for Zoe & Martin’s wedding reception.  A couple of photos with the car was managed before the heavens opened for the rest of the day …. Pah !!  Lot’s of guests photos congratulating Zoe & Martin were followed by the family shots upstairs, then it was out with the video light for a couple of B&G photographs, including the Christmas decorations worked quite well though  Hope you’re having a fantastic honeymoon Guys, some early images below ……
