Staffordshire Bride magazine – Caroline & Ed

Fantastic News! One of our weddings has been featured in the latest edition of Staffordshire Bride Magazine.

It’s always great for a wedding photographer to have their images published in magazines in either advertising or simply being asked for a photo by the magazine for their use, but this means so much more to us. Caroline and Edward had such a great day and loved their photos that much that they wanted everybody to see them and to know their story and for that we feel honoured.

Caroline and Edward’s wedding day was beautifully chic and perfectly detailed in every way to compliment their own personalities with the wedding ceremony at All Saints Church in Sandon then on to Oakley Hall in Staffordshire for their wedding reception.

We’ve had a lovely response to the photographs in the article from both the magazine and quite a few of their readers so we’ve popped a little ‘snippet’ of the article below, along with a few of our favourite photos from the wedding day but if you want to read the rest, the magazine is out now…. Anne-Marie & Grant – Dovecliff Hall Weddings

The gorgeous Dovecliff Hall Hotel, Stretton, Burton on Trent was the choice of wedding venue for Anne-Marie & Grant, our first wedding of 2012 and it’s only 5 minutes up the road We had two great room visits with Anne-Marie and the girls during their Bridal prep and wow ! did we get some fantastic, emotional photos ! Ok, we popped out and took some ‘cool’ shots of Grant and his lads before the ceremony too The wedding ceremony at Dovecliff Hall was held in the beautiful Orangery and thankfully the Registrars allowed us to take photographs, so we got some really emotional photos of our bride and groom as they got married OK, so in March, you would expect it to be cold? maybe a bit chilly? and spend most of the day inside in front of the fire? Our beautiful March wedding was fantastic ! sunny and warm enough to spend the afternoon outside … Great bonus !! After loads of natural photos of Anne-Marie & Grant being congratulated by their guests, full group photo and formal photographs, we took Anne-Marie & Grant down the steps in the Dovecliff Hall gardens to the river for some contemporary wedding photographs, during which we had quite a laugh !! Next up, the wedding breakfast and speeches photos, then a few more contemporary evening photos before Anne-Marie & Grant’s first dance ….. Guys, I know your having a fantastic honeymoon and don’t spend too much time looking at your gallery !! Some favourites from your wedding below ….

Andre Donatt - Hello Dave, I would like that I loved your photos, in this specific wedding, do you use flash or only LED? I am working hard to make my photos much better and natural. Congrats for your very nice pics.

Dave - Hi Andre, thanks for the kind comments. The evening shots were lit by video light (tungsten), and the first dance photos are flash. Hope this helps and good luck with your photography.

Breadsall Priory Wedding Fayre – Update

Wow, one of the busiest wedding fayres we have displayed at for long time Superbly ran and presented by Katie and the Breadsall Priory team. It was excellent to meet so many couples getting married, and apologies if we were struggling to have a proper chat with you due to the number of people visiting our stand ! A massive thank you to Louise & John, Kayleigh & Luke, Kerry & Alex and Caroline & Paul for booking us to photograph your upcoming weddings ……And for those making appointments to visit us at home, we look forward to seeing you again.

Next up for us is this weekends (Sunday 5th) Wedding Fayre being held at Alfreton Leisure Centre 11.00am – 4.00pm …. Zoe & Martin – Morley Hayes Wedding

After getting away with it all year we finally lost our battle with the UK weather The bonus was, Zoe & Martin still kept smiling all day despite the rain A home visit for Zoe’s bridal prep was followed by the wedding ceremony held at St Martin’s Church, Alfreton. At least we didn’t have the heavy wet stuff for this part of the day! After the ceremony it was off to Morley Hayes for Zoe & Martin’s wedding reception. A couple of photos with the car was managed before the heavens opened for the rest of the day …. Pah !! Lot’s of guests photos congratulating Zoe & Martin were followed by the family shots upstairs, then it was out with the video light for a couple of B&G photographs, including the Christmas decorations worked quite well though Hope you’re having a fantastic honeymoon Guys, some early images below ……

Katie & Craig – Stapleford Park Hotel Weddings

Next up for the Christmas weddings blogging are Katie & Craig. Stapleford Park Country House Hotel was their choice of wedding venue for the reception, but first stop was a gorgeous house on the estate for Katie’s bridal prep photos, we still can’t believe how calm and relaxed She was Off to St Andrew’s Church, Wissendine next for the wedding ceremony and some photos with Craig and the boys greeting their guests. Now a married couple Katie & Craig lead the way back to Stapleford Park for the rest of the days celebrations. Leaving Katie & Craig to meet their family and guests gave us plenty of opportunity for lots of natural, documentary wedding photos, after which we grabbed them for ourselves as the light outside had turned a gorgeous golden colour Brilliant for some stunners as we walked round the grounds. The speeches (which were great) next up, then a few video light photos inside followed by first dance, ended what had been a fantastic wedding day. Once again, a few favourites from the wedding below ……

Hayley & Chris – Priest House Hotel Wedding

Now our Christmas / New Year break is over it’s time to catch up blogging our december weddings ….. Hayley and Chris chose the Priest House Hotel, Castle Donington for their wedding. A couple of room visits to photograph Hayley and the girls getting ready, and catching up with Chris and the lads in between, was followed by a lovely wedding ceremony. With the weather a little unpredictable we grabbed some quick time outside before the rain came for a group shot, but were lucky enough to get a dry period later on, so took advantage for some cool photos of Hayley & Chris around the Priest House grounds. As Priest House wedding photographers the evening was another opportunity to take some contemporary video light photos of Hayley & Chris before going into first dance. A few favourites below Guys ….
