Wow, one of the busiest wedding fayres we have displayed at for long time

Superbly ran and presented by Katie and the Breadsall Priory team. It was excellent to meet so many couples getting married, and apologies if we were struggling to have a proper chat with you due to the number of people visiting our stand ! A massive thank you to Louise & John, Kayleigh & Luke, Kerry & Alex and Caroline & Paul for booking us to photograph your upcoming weddings ……

And for those making appointments to visit us at home, we look forward to seeing you again.

Next up for us is this weekends (Sunday 5th) Wedding Fayre being held at Alfreton Leisure Centre 11.00am – 4.00pm …. Firstly, a big ‘Thank You’ to all of our 2011 clients for choosing us to photograph your weddings, which once again found us travelling the length and breadth of the UK during last year. Below you will see one of our favourite images from most of our 2011 weddings (we have held a few back due to privacy requests). We had fantastic time during 2011, made some great new friends, and it was a pleasure to provide your wedding photography. I would also like to thank all of our 2012 clients so far for booking us to photograph your weddings this year, it’s going to be a very busy 2012

After getting away with it all year we finally lost our battle with the UK weather

The bonus was, Zoe & Martin still kept smiling all day despite the rain

A home visit for Zoe’s bridal prep was followed by the wedding ceremony held at St Martin’s Church, Alfreton. At least we didn’t have the heavy wet stuff for this part of the day! After the ceremony it was off to Morley Hayes for Zoe & Martin’s wedding reception. A couple of photos with the car was managed before the heavens opened for the rest of the day …. Pah !! Lot’s of guests photos congratulating Zoe & Martin were followed by the family shots upstairs, then it was out with the video light for a couple of B&G photographs, including the Christmas decorations worked quite well though

Next up for the Christmas weddings blogging are Katie & Craig. Stapleford Park Country House Hotel was their choice of wedding venue for the reception, but first stop was a gorgeous house on the estate for Katie’s bridal prep photos, we still can’t believe how calm and relaxed She was

Off to St Andrew’s Church, Wissendine next for the wedding ceremony and some photos with Craig and the boys greeting their guests. Now a married couple Katie & Craig lead the way back to Stapleford Park for the rest of the days celebrations. Leaving Katie & Craig to meet their family and guests gave us plenty of opportunity for lots of natural, documentary wedding photos, after which we grabbed them for ourselves as the light outside had turned a gorgeous golden colour

Brilliant for some stunners as we walked round the grounds. The speeches (which were great) next up, then a few video light photos inside followed by first dance, ended what had been a fantastic wedding day. Once again, a few favourites from the wedding below ……

Now our Christmas / New Year break is over it’s time to catch up blogging our december weddings ….. Hayley and Chris chose the Priest House Hotel, Castle Donington for their wedding. A couple of room visits to photograph Hayley and the girls getting ready, and catching up with Chris and the lads in between, was followed by a lovely wedding ceremony. With the weather a little unpredictable we grabbed some quick time outside before the rain came for a group shot, but were lucky enough to get a dry period later on, so took advantage for some cool photos of Hayley & Chris around the Priest House grounds. The evening was another opportunity to take some contemporary video light photos of Hayley & Chris before going into first dance. A few favourites below Guys ….

Ellie & Dave – The Priest House Hotel Weddings

The Priest House Hotel, Castle Donington was the wedding venue choice for Ellie & Dave. Bridal prep photos for Ellie and the girls and some cool shots of Dave and his lads were followed by a lovely wedding ceremony. Once again we managed to miss the rain so a good part of the afternoon was spend outside photographing the group shot, and a few family formals. These were followed by some photos of the girls having some fun … Not sure what they were up to lol, but apparently something to do with the Hen night

Ellie & Dave’s Bride and Groom photographs were timed perfectly to catch around 10 mins of the sun setting, creating some gorgeous colours in the sky, working with off camera flash we managed a number of locations around the Priest House before the light dropped completely. Hope you Guys are having a fantastic honeymoon, a few early images below for you ……

Ok, time to catch up with a couple of recent weddings …. First up, Alison & Paul. The stunning Losehill House Hotel was chosen as the venue for their wedding, situated right in the Middle of Derbyshire’s Peak District. A couple of images of the venue to start with, especially with the dark clouds and the sun trying to get through … Gorgeous light

Then off to photograph Alison getting ready for the wedding ceremony. Wow, what a dress ! Jenny Packham vintage design, stunning. We then grabbed the Guys for a couple of photos, the lads looking super cool in their kilts. The Ceremony was followed by time spent outside, which was a result as the weather was going downhill fast. Next up the speeches then some evening video light shots with Alison and Paul and finally first dance. A selection of favourites from your wedding below Guys …..

Caroline and Ed – Oakley Hall Weddings

Ok, I seriously had everything crossed for Caroline & Ed’s wedding, including a prayer mat, hoping we were going to have a dry day, and apart from a quick shower that’s what we got …. Yeeeeeah

Caroline and Ed chose Sandon Church for their wedding ceremony beautifully set in the Staffordshire countryside. Normally I can’t photograph in this Church, but with a change of Vicar we were good to go

Now a married couple we organised a gauntlet of confetti for Caroline & Ed to brave, then into the car and straight off to the wedding reception which was being held at the gorgeous Oakley Hall – Stunning wedding venue. Some relaxed documentary wedding photography was followed by a few formals including some fun photos with the lads and the girls.

Now, the highlight of the day’s entertainment was the surprise appearance of 3 opera singers who had been dressed as waiters …. Wow, laughter, tears, and dancing on the chairs. It’s pretty safe to say that everyone had a ball during their performance. A quick session with Caroline & Ed for video lit contemporary wedding photographs, then straight into first dance, which was a perfect way to end a thoroughly enjoyable day for us. A big thank you to Alison Bailey for second shooting this wedding with me ….. Early images below Guys and your full gallery ready soon …..
